Topiary made from napkins. Decorative topiary from napkins: grace in simplicity Roses from topiary napkins by hand

So, we need:

  • the simplest cheap single paper napkins
  • scissors
  • knitting needle
  • spool of thread
  • Titan glue or glue gun
  • corrugated paper
  • wand
  • cream jar or hairspray cap

Roses from napkins

1. Cut the paper napkin into squares along the folds.

2. Place it on the table and use two fingers to wrap it around the knitting needle with a rolling motion.

The main thing is to wrap the edge, and it will go there on its own. Do not pay attention to wrinkles and unevenness.

To the end of the napkin you need to twist 3-4 cm:

3. Then from both edges we move the napkin “sausage” to the center:

4. Remove (pull together) the wound “sausage” from the knitting needle. It will turn out like this:

5. Hold the remaining edge and roll the “sausage” into a roller, hiding the tip inside.

6. Add a second petal to the resulting center of the rose.

We make sure that the beginning of the second petal falls in the middle of the first, and the tips are hidden at the bottom.

7. You can also add a third petal, a fourth, a fifth, etc. I don’t do more than three, I love small roses.

8. Now twist the free edge at the bottom with your fingers and wrap it with thread, tying a knot.

9. Cut off the excess tail.

We make the required number of such roses (depending on the size of the tree). My napkin topiary takes on average 30-40 roses.

Leaves from napkins

We make leaves from corrugated paper or the same green napkin. We fold two squares diagonally and make a little bag, and then tie it at the bottom:

Collecting topiary

We crumple a ball from any paper and wrap it with threads - this is the basis of the crown. We glue the roses onto it with Titan glue (for ceiling tiles) or, better yet, with a glue gun, and then place leaves between them.

We fix the stick in any jar or cap - in plasticine, or better yet, in plaster. when it hardens, wrap the upper end of the stick with a ribbon, ribbon, etc. and string our rose ball onto it. We decorate the jar as desired and possible.

You can make topiary from napkins with your own hands very quickly; it will take literally 3 hours for everything, not counting the hardening of the plaster.

November 4- a holiday commemorating the liberation of Moscow from Polish invaders in 1612. November 4 no longer symbolizes victory, but the unity of the people, which made the defeat of the invaders possible. On this day, the soldiers of the troops of Pozharsky and Minin prayed to the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, liberated Kitay-Gorod and entered it as winners along with the icon. Since then, the Kazan Icon began to be revered and worshiped; people were sure that it was the miraculous icon that helped them win. Prince Dmitry Pozharsky built the Kazan Cathedral on Red Square specifically to store the miraculous icon. The date of construction of the temple is lost in history, but it is known for sure that it was consecrated in 1636. During the reign of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, November 4 was proclaimed the Day of Gratitude to the Most Holy Theotokos, and in the church calendar the holiday was listed as the Celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Perhaps the prayers charged the fighters with new strength and helped them cope with the invaders, but the unity of people still played the main role.

National Unity Day in the new Russia

The first National Unity Day was celebrated magnificently in 2005. Nizhny Novgorod became the main center of festive events. The main event of the holiday was the opening of the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky. A place was found for the new monument on National Unity Square near the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist. Religious processions, charity events, rallies, concerts and other festive events were held in large cities. In the capital, the president of the country solemnly laid wreaths at the Moscow monument to Minin and Pozharsky. The modern Day of National Unity is a holiday that calls on people not only to remember the most important historical events, but also to remind citizens of a multinational country the importance of unity. After all, only together, moving in the same direction, can we cope with difficulties and overcome them.

Progress:

Let's make flowers from paper napkins.

1. Take single-layer paper napkins of three colors (white, red, blue).

2. Cut the napkin into three equal parts.

3. Let's stack them on top of each other.

4. Cut into three equal parts.

5. Staple the squares in the middle crosswise and cut out a circle.

6. From the resulting blank we form a flower. To do this, lift each layer of the napkin up and squeeze it a little with your fingers.

7. Let's make 6 white flowers, 10 blue flowers and 10 red flowers.

8. Take a plastic ball and wrap it in a white napkin.

9. To fasten it, we wrap white threads around it.

10. Now we glue the prepared flowers onto the ball. First we glue the white flowers.

11. Then glue the blue flowers.

12. Then glue on the red flowers.

Let's start with our pot.

13. To do this, we take crepe paper measuring 30*30 and place a plastic cup in the center.

14. Place double-sided tape on the cup in several places.

15. Wrap the crepe paper inside the cup.

16. Our pot is ready.

17. Glue a satin ribbon to the pot. Let's coat the rim of our pot with hot glue.

18. Put the ball in the pot.

The tree of happiness is a wonderful talisman and amulet. According to Feng Shui, it is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. You can make one for yourself or your family with your own hands.

To make a tree of happiness we will need:

- thin paper, newspaper or parchment;
- threads;
- napkins of two colors;
- wire;
- alabaster;
- pot;
- PVA glue;
- hot gun;
- gouache;
- stapler.

Squeeze the paper into a ball and form as even a ball as possible.

Wrap tightly with thread and secure.

Cover the ball with one of the selected napkins so that the base of the crown does not show through.

Bend two wires, 20 cm each, in half and twist, as in the photo. Leave the tails, it will be convenient to “plant” in the pot.

Pierce the ball with nail scissors and insert a wire stem.

Dilute the alabaster with water, stir until it reaches the consistency of sour cream.

Place the tree in a pot, spread the tails on the sides. Pour the mixture into the pot, hold the barrel for a couple of minutes until the solution sets. If the pot is ceramic or glass, then place crumpled foil or paper on the bottom to prevent it from bursting.

We dilute a little more mixture and quickly coat the barrel, because alabaster sets quickly.

Alabaster is grayish, so the next step is to paint the trunk with white gouache several times.

Let's start making flowers. Napkins should be plain. Choose two colors that go together. Cut each napkin in half to form a rectangle.

We bend the edges into the middle, as in the photo.

And fold it in half again. All sections are masked. Do not press too hard on the central bend, this will make the flowers more voluminous.

We take a strip, slightly bend the corner inward and begin to wind the flower.

We make folds, fix everything with our hands, and twist until the strip ends.

The result is a flower very similar to a rosebud.

We chop off our flower with a stapler. You can also use glue. But it will take a long time, and the staple will be fast and reliable!

We make several dozen of these flowers in each color, it all depends on the diameter of your ball.

Using a hot gun, glue the first flower in the center of the ball.

We glue flowers of a different color around it.

Using this principle, we glue the top of the tree crown.

Mask the solution on top of the pot. Pour glue and place a napkin on top.

We decorate with a flower, as on the crown.

To glue the crown from below, turn the tree over, very carefully so as not to crush the roses, lean it on the wall. Fill the remaining space with flowers, keeping the same order throughout the tree.

Our tree of happiness is ready. As you have already seen, to make a tree of happiness with your own hands you do not need to spend a lot of money. You just need to put your soul into it, warm each flower with love, and then the tree will actually radiate happiness and help you in life. We also recommend you a master class on making wood from beads, which will complement the list of works you have done with your own hands!

The final look of the craft.

Topiary is a famous interior decoration that has long been popular in European countries. This cute tree will appeal to those who want indoor plants, but do not like to care for them. The round shape of the artificial one looks quite original and laconic. Modern needlewomen today have found many materials from which topiary can be made. In this article you will learn how to make topiary from napkins with your own hands.

Materials:
- napkins of different sizes and colors;
- stapler;
- wooden stick;
- wire;
- ribbons, beads for decoration;
- pot;
- a foam ball.

Napkin ball

Step-by-step master class. Topiary made from paper napkins

Can be done in a pot. To do this, the ball is glued to a wooden stick-trunk and inserted into a pot with earth or plaster. It is much easier to make topiary without a trunk. You can show your imagination and make a special ribbon from which you can hang the ball.

Flowers are glued to the ball using a glue gun. Separately, you can glue beads or beads onto the flowers. Decorate the topiary to your taste and it will become an exclusive decoration of your interior.

Topiary made from napkins Even schoolchildren can do it. A beautiful craft will be an original gift for family and friends, and will remind you of the giver for a long time. Small topiaries will decorate a windowsill or showcase. Using a similar principle, you can make balloons that will look creative at a festive event.

A master class on making topiary scares off many beginners due to the listing of materials such as sisal, foamiran, cold porcelain, etc. What to do with everything, and how to make a completely understandable tree from unusual materials? Or a topiary made from paper napkins. A beginner can do it with his own hands, and there is a suitable master class for beginners, with photos and explanations of how and when to make this or that part.

What are napkins for? From them you need to make flowers that will decorate the crown of the tree. The trick is to fold the napkin correctly.

How to make a paper napkin flower:

  • Take a plain (but optional) napkin and cut it into strips. The stripe is equal to the height of the bud, so this indicator is determined by yourself.
  • You need to roll the paper strip with your own hands, forming a bud.
  • In the bud, the petals are slightly turned inside out, so you turn the layers of the napkin inside the flower a little inside out.

You can fasten the bud so that it does not unfold with glue, thread, or a sewing pin. You need to make a lot of flowers so that they cover the crown tightly.

There is another option. This MK may seem simpler to some.

Option two - how to make flowers from napkins:

  • Take a stack of 70 napkins (or a little less or a little more);
  • Cut this stack into equal squares;
  • Each of the resulting squares needs to be folded a little less than half, and the corners should be twisted a little - you will get just the shape of a petal.
  • To make one flower, you need about ten pieces, this is on average. The more petal blanks you use, the more magnificent the flower will be.

Making roses for topiary (video master class)

Do-it-yourself MK: topiary from napkins

If the roses are already ready, you can proceed to the next stage. For any topiary, from napkins or other decor, you will need a ball base. It’s great if you already have a foam blank, but you can build such a ball with your own hands. To do this, take newspapers, crumple them into one large dense lump, coat them with glue in some places to make the lump heavier. This ball needs to be wrapped in threads, it will look like a ball.

  • The base ball should be placed on the barrel. The trunk is usually any stick, even a real snag or branch. You place this design in a pot with alabaster poured into it.
  • The trunk and the ball on it (in fact, this is a tree) is placed in alabaster, so that it is firmly fixed in it.
  • Don't rush things, wait until everything dries. At this time, you can make roses or choose decor, without which the tree will not be elegant.
  • Well, now MK involves the creation of a crown. The ball must be covered with flowers from napkins; there should be no gaps between the buds. It would be great if you paint the ball with your own hands the color of the buds, so that even a small gap is well disguised.
  • The trunk can be wrapped with twine, braid, satin ribbon, decorative cord or special paper. Sometimes lace stripes are also used.

The master class is not completed - you have to make the finishing decoration. How else can you decorate a tree? See examples of decor in the photo gallery. You need to start with a pot. The top layer should be decorative, the alabaster should be covered.

You can decorate the top layer:

  • Beautiful beads to match the crown buds;
  • Coffee beans;
  • Colored tea leaves;
  • Sequins;
  • Beads;
  • Rhinestones;
  • Colored small buttons;
  • Decorative stones;
  • Berries.

There are master classes in which topiary made from beautiful napkins is decorated using the decoupage technique. The same pot can be decorated with a top layer of napkins with an interesting pattern. This is a very delicate work, you will need to watch an additional master class.

Topiary heart made of napkins

Such a tree has only one fundamental difference - you will have to paste over the crown of the heart, not the ball. That is, the same flowers are used, only the shape of the crown changes.

How to make a heart with your own hands if you don’t have a blank? There are also several options.

Romantic topiary made from napkins (video)

First MK: flat heart

It’s simple to make; it will be a through heart made of cardboard.

  • You take thick cardboard, you can use large boxes. Cut out the shape of a heart, which should be hollow inside. That is, the diameter of this heart-shaped rim will be approximately 2-3 cm.
  • To make it even denser, it can be covered with the same napkins in several layers.
  • And then paint the heart in the desired color and paste it over with the same colors.

There are master classes that do not offer dense covering of the base with flowers. That is, you can, for example, wrap the uniform with lace or bleached twine, and only attach flowers in some places.

And such a tree will be interesting and original, and as a souvenir gift for a loved one - almost an ideal option.

Heart tree: do-it-yourself second option

You can make the heart differently if it does not have to be end-to-end.

MK - heart for topiary made from napkins:

  • Take any object that has the shape of a heart, for example, a mirror or powder compact;
  • Now remember about such a technique as papier-mâché: you need to cover this object in many layers with paper or napkins so that it does not turn out flat;
  • After it has dried, cut the entire structure in half - this must be done carefully;
  • You take out the object, and connect the structure itself with several more layers.

Here's a simple MK. Otherwise, you need to make a “heart” topiary in the same way as a traditional one.

Paper napkins are a multi-variant decor; they can be used to make not only voluminous roses. You can simply beautifully paste over the base ball with napkins, remembering the same decoupage, following a certain pattern. And it's beautiful too! Try, experiment, create your own tree of happiness.
