Air conditioner remote control instructions for use. Review of Ballu air conditioners, reviews and instructions for them. Review of Ballu air conditioners: main types and series

Among the economy-class climate control equipment on the market, the Chinese manufacturer Ballu air conditioners stand out, which are designed to provide the buyer with several basic conditions: efficiency, reliability, comfort, ergonomics and aesthetics.

Review of Ballu air conditioners: main types and series

This brand of air conditioning systems produces several lines for each standard range of devices. As always, the widest range of models and series can be found among wall-mounted split systems, most often used for installation in apartments, offices and small areas of public buildings.

Wall systems

The following series of household wall-mounted ballu splits have been produced for several years:

  • Olymp– easy-to-control air conditioners with operating modes of cooling and heating + the presence of an economy mode of operation + modes of comfortable sleep and automatic on/off by time;
  • Vision– with the same performance characteristics as the previous line + dehumidification and ventilation + class A energy efficiency;
  • Bravo– this is an improved design, presented in four colors + increased power + three-way air supply + disinfecting and vitaminizing filters.

The manufacturer of air conditioners ballu recently added several new products to them, and these are the series:

  • Olympic– Japanese compressor with additional insulation + the presence of the “Winter kit” option + defrosting function + safety lining on the valves;
  • City Black Edition and City– one-piece design of the indoor unit, making operation silent + 4-flow air output + highest power + 2-component filtration system + good operating temperature range (the difference between the two lines is only in color);
  • i GREEN– to the advantages of the previous lines, a 3-component cleaning filter, a hidden display and a cold plasma generator were added, which makes it possible to decompose unpleasant odors, toxic gases and aerosols by deactivating harmful microorganisms inside the system itself.

We can say that by evolving, ballu wall-mounted air conditioners have become a shining example of advanced technologies in the field of climate control, while maintaining acceptable price parameters. This is modern comfort at a reasonable cost.

Winter kit: purpose and characteristics

Many buyers do not know what a ballu winter air conditioner kit is and how it works. It's simple - it's a kind of additional accessory for elements of air conditioning systems, which ensures their uninterrupted operation in temperature conditions not provided for by the standard. Specifically, for the Ballu air conditioner, the usual winter kit supports the operation of the device in cooling mode down to -30° without the threat of breakdown.

The accessory is compatible with air conditioners that operate both cooling only and cooling-heating. The advantage is that there are no difficulties with the settings, since there are built-in self-diagnosis systems for the serviceability of important elements, and no shutdown is required for the summer. Suitable for all air conditioners with power up to 7kW.

The winter kit for the ballu air conditioner must also come with illustrated instructions that describe in detail the installation process.

Column air conditioners

Rooms with a large area are difficult to process with wall splits, so column systems are installed there. They are also called floor-standing because of the location of the indoor unit. Their shape resembles an elongated column, which allows them to be combined with the interior of state cultural institutions, restaurants, hotels and, if necessary, residential buildings.

The manufacturer of air conditioners Ballu also has a line of column units that are distinguished by their external compactness and very high performance. Ballu BFL series floor standing air conditioners boast the following highly functional technical data and design aspects:

  • powerful and fully protected compressor made in Japan;
  • additional heating element;
  • the strongest volumetric air flow circulating in several directions, and not pointwise + adjustable vertical blinds;
  • 24/7 automatic on/off timing;
  • accelerated operation of all standard modes - specified air characteristics are achieved 40% faster;
  • high electrical protection;
  • miniature scoreboard.

It is worth remembering that ballu floor-mounted air conditioners cannot be installed in ordinary apartments with an average area, since constant powerful air flows will create a health hazard.

Particular attention is paid to the care of the columnar. After 300-350 hours of intensive operation of the filter, it must be cleaned. In large public premises, the devices operate under increased load, so the ballu floor-standing air conditioner must be serviced monthly, that is, the indoor unit must be cleaned, and seasonal maintenance must be organized every six months.

Timely preventive measures and repairs extend the service life of expensive equipment.

Cassette air conditioners

If you do not want or are unable to take up extra space on the floor with technical devices, you can buy and install a semi-industrial cassette air conditioner Ballu of the BLC C or BCAL series, which have many advantages:

  • hidden internal block and numerous connecting communications - only the decorative grille is visible to a person;
  • volumetric 4-way air distribution;
  • the possibility of mixing fresh air from the street;
  • built-in winter kit – allows you to work in cold temperatures down to -15°;
  • turbo mode – quickly achieves the specified temperature parameters.

By the way, ballu cassette air conditioners are an opportunity to save money on installation, since the process of gating walls for laying communications is either simplified or absent. They are all hidden under the suspended ceiling structure.

The only condition for installing a ballu cassette type air conditioner is that the ceiling must be high and the room area must be at least 40 m². This is important because the cover of the entire system will “eat up” up to 30 cm of the top, and a powerful air flow requires space to spread.

Duct, floor-ceiling and other systems

The Ballu company produces several more types of air conditioners for domestic and industrial air control. They are presented in the table below.

TYPE PECULIARITIES
Inverter splits
  • high power;
  • reasonable energy efficiency;
  • no noise.

  • Possibility of installation in rooms with a highly elongated shape;
  • personally controlled airflow;
  • built-in winter kit;
  • a full set of standard operating modes + timing, turbo cooling/heating and automatic operation options.
Inverter multi-splits

Another advantage of these climate control systems is the absence of plastic odor when starting up. This is a problem with most even expensive air conditioners, but not Ballu, since the material used is high-quality non-toxic plastic.

Before being sent for sale from the manufacturer, all Ballu brand air conditioners are tested under simulated extreme conditions, which almost 100% eliminates defects.

Instructions for air conditioners and control panels Ballu

For any model of any series of air control devices there are mandatory instructions with a set of rules for using the device and information about its technical characteristics.

The main provisions in the instructions for ballu air conditioners are recommendations for safe installation and connection of the device, care tips, operating rules and settings of the necessary modes, information for installers. Any owner of the device can, if necessary, look at the “Troubleshooting” section to find out the reason for the poor operation of the device.

The instructions for the ballu air conditioner also contain another important information point - remote controls. Without studying this section, the average person may not immediately understand setting modes and using additional options. And the instructions for the ballu air conditioner remote control will tell you how to start the device, select “Automatic mode”, timer operating mode, or how to turn on the ballu air conditioner for heating, dehumidification, ventilation, etc.

By the way, not everyone can intuitively understand how the air conditioning system of a given brand works in one mode or another. For example, turning on a ballu air conditioner for heating occurs as follows:

  • press the ON/OFF button;
  • after the temperature indicator and the selected mode appear on the panel, press MODE and select the heating mode, indicated by the sun;
  • the +/- button sets the desired temperature marks;
  • use the FAN button to select the fan rotation speed - you want to warm it up faster, which means you need to set it to high;
  • turn it off with the ON/OFF button.

The instructions for the ballu air conditioner remote control contain a section on controlling the device using the panel itself. You can manually set all the same parameters as through the remote control.

The instructions for all ballu air conditioner control panels are clear and there should be no problems understanding them. If there are still unclear points, it is better to call the service center or installer.

When purchasing a ballu air conditioner, be sure to check the instructions included in the package.

Mobile air conditioners are convenient when you want to use them in several rooms or when you cannot install a split system. Of course, these devices are noisier than good split systems, but sometimes this is still the best solution.

If you have just purchased such an air conditioner, then first you need to think about installing it. This process is described in our article “Installation of the Ballu BPHS-12H mobile air conditioner and instructions.”

There you will also find our video report - we came up with a simple system for fixing a pipe with hot air, which is quickly installed and easily transferred to another window. It is possible that our experience will be useful for you too.

Let's now move on to the operating instructions.

We will introduce you to the mobile air conditioner BALU BPHS 09 H. Today Ballu is a large transnational company, but it comes from Taiwan. We will not open America if we say that a mobile air conditioner has one, but significant advantage over the window and split versions - it is the simplicity and speed of both the initial installation and movement between rooms and even apartments.
In a previous article, we already talked about installing such air conditioners using readily available materials. Now let's get acquainted with the air conditioner itself. Look at the technical specifications, but let’s add on our own - it’s really noisy, because you can’t put the compressor outside the window. A little heavy to carry (30 kg), but it rolls easily. It is slightly less efficient than its counterparts, but it cools a room 25-30 meters away 5-6 degrees below the street easily.
How is it built? To put it simply, there is a compressor, freon, fans and a fin cooler. Room air is sucked inside in two streams. One heats up, the other cools due to it. The cold one enters the room, and the hot one is thrown out into the street through a wide pipe.
At the back we see air filters that trap dust and require periodic washing. There is a very good ability not to accumulate condensation in the trays, but to evaporate it and throw the steam out into the street with hot air. However, at very high humidity, condensation may accumulate slightly. It is safely drained through special tubes.
Some users had issues with the controls. We'll help.

One control system on top of the body.

The second one is on the remote control. It is much wider. So, we turned it on. Using the fashion button we can successively select modes - Room cooling, air dehumidification, just a fan and even room heating.

In cooling and heating modes, you can set the desired temperature.
Attention: if you do not press anything for 5-6 seconds, the display will begin to show the ambient room temperature, not the set one.
In all modes there are 3 fan power positions. And finally, the air ionization button. Apparently Chizhevsky's chandelier is inside. By the way, there is no such button on the remote control. But on the remote control you can turn on the Timer and the Sleep mode (SLEEP - sleep 8 ). But here they are only indicator lights.
And here is the remote control. If it is in contact with the main block, then the commands go through as they should. Let's get to know each other better. Mode button (MODE - 2 ) We also select modes - Cooling, Drying, fan, heating and cooling again. In heating and cooling modes, the previous set temperature is displayed. You can use the arrow buttons to change it. But after 5-6 seconds, we have already talked about this, the display will begin to show room temperature.
Additionally, you can select 4 fan modes. 3 regular and automatic. At the Super button (SUPER - 13 ) there is a feature - some blocking. It will not work in room temperature display mode. Press one of the top buttons, go to settings mode and then press. Now the air conditioner at full blast will bring your temperature to 18 degrees.
Turn it off. Slip button (SLEEP - sleep 8 ) turn on night mode. The air conditioner will try not to make too much noise. Lock button (LOCK - lock 15 ) we block the remaining buttons from accidental presses. Press Swing (SWING - 7 ) and the air conditioner flapped its wings (a function of wave-like air flow). Pressed Dimmer (DIMMER - 9 ) and for some reason they turned off the main display, who cares. By pressing I FEEL (I feel 14 ) you force the air conditioner to provide the desired temperature is already next to the remote control, and not with the main unit (a very useful feature in large rooms).

The Smart button (SMART - 6), or an eye with eyelashes, is clearly highlighted here. It's called automatic mode. The main difference is that we are not setting the temperature here, but changing the room temperature. For example, lower it by 3, 4 or even 7 degrees. And you can order an increase, also up to 7 degrees.

At the same time, almost all the adjustments and functions already known to us work in Smart mode, except of course Super. After all, this is a separate mode. Exit Smart using the Mode button (MODE - 2 ) through the Set mode (SET - parameter setting mode).
For dessert we left the time buttons. Algorithm for setting the clock, i.e. The time of day here is truly Taiwanese. We hold the Lock button for a long time - no reaction. We let go and the clock blinked. Then we literally use arrows to catch the current time. It's not easy to do. Then we hold it again and record the new time.
There is a timer to turn on and a timer to turn off the air conditioner. You need to briefly press and release the button. It’s the same story with catching time. Disabling timers couldn't be easier. Pressed, released - the indicator went out. There is none of this in the instructions. One word - Taiwan.

Comparison with Ballu BPHS-12H

These air conditioners are similar in design and control system. The main difference is the cooling power.

BPHS-09H

BPHS-12H

Serviced area 25 sq. m 35 sq. m
Maximum air flow 4.83 cc m/min 6.33 cu.m. m/min
Power in cooling mode 2600 W 3480 W
Power in heating mode 2100 W 2100 W
Weight, kg 30kg 34kg
Device dimensions (WxHxD), mm 430x695x325 439x754x360

As you can see, you need to select an air conditioner based on the area of your rooms. As for heating, the heating power is the same, but the BPHS-12H will heat up faster due to its more powerful airflow.

A more powerful device (Ballu BPHS-12H) is slightly heavier (4 kg) and larger in size. Yes, and you need to pay 15% more for it. So choose carefully. Unfortunately, this model does not have a heat pump function (this is provided in models BPHS-14H, BPHS-16H) and a lot of electricity is consumed when heating the room. If you will use the heating function often, then it is worth looking at other models.

Greetings to all visitors to our portal! Today I will tell you how to turn on the air conditioner on heat and at the same time be 100% sure that you have configured everything correctly! Very often, switching the “heating” mode causes a lot of problems for the user (I admit that I myself was once very worried during this process). Of course! After all, when you “restructure” the mode, the air conditioner really begins to give out surprises. Therefore, many users begin to doubt that they have clicked something wrong.

But today I will give the most simple and understandable instructions so that any user can do everything on their own, and most importantly, correctly. Next, we will analyze in detail how an air conditioner, in particular a split system, can behave in this case. I’ll tell you right away that the sequence is not at all difficult, but just requires a little patience. And before you start setting up heating, read the article to the end - there are important operating conditions there!

So, the summer heat has passed, and at the beginning of autumn the temperature in the apartment is optimally maintained. But every day it gets cooler, the central heating will be turned on unknown when, and the heater can’t cope. And then you remember that you have another device that can also operate on heat! Let's say we have an air conditioner that cooled perfectly in the summer, but now it is turned off. We begin to remember how to set it to heat.

Buttons on the air conditioner remote control

Any split system remote control has five main buttons:

  1. Power button;
  2. Mode switch button;
  3. Double temperature adjustment button;
  4. Shaft rotation speed adjustment button;
  5. Blind direction adjustment button.

But before we pick up the remote control, we first turn on the air conditioner (like any electrical appliance). Most often it is just a plug that needs to be plugged into an outlet. The air conditioner can also be powered through. In general, depending on the method of connecting the air conditioner, we turn on the machine or plug the plug into the socket. In this case, you should hear a beep from the indoor unit. If the block does not react at all, then read the article. After successful power supply, pick up the remote control and proceed!

How to turn the air conditioner on warm

I want to say right away that if you make a mistake somewhere, nothing bad will happen! You'll just have to wait and do it all over again.

  1. Turn on the air conditioner pressing the "power" button once(on/off).

We wait a few seconds until the blinds open and the fan of the indoor unit begins to rotate;

  1. Then press the mode switch button so many times until we switch to the sun icon or the inscription “heat”(meaning "warmth")

The air conditioner may then stop the fan or close the blinds (this will happen if the air conditioner was not already set to warm). I’ll write below what else will happen with the air conditioner, but now it doesn’t matter. But at this moment we are already moving on to the next setting (to the third point)!

  1. While the air conditioner is being “reconfigured” using the temperature control buttons set the degrees to 30. Let it be like this for now, and after 20 minutes adjust it to suit you (I recommend 25-30 degrees).
  1. Next, the shaft rotation adjustment button set any speed convenient for you;

  1. Blind adjustment button also We put the most comfortable position for you. Next, the most difficult thing is to WAIT until the long-awaited warmth blows from the air conditioner. Then we set up the air conditioner comfortably for ourselves. For more information about choosing the temperature, as well as about the last two points, read the article;

Now let's return to the second point. I want to explain it in simple user language so that you don’t get scared that something strange is happening to the air conditioner. There is nothing strange in his behavior! Simply after switching the mode, the algorithm of the air conditioner changes, and it redirects the movement of the refrigerant (you don’t have to delve into this now!). The temperature of the radiators and other processes that are not important for our article are monitored. The most important thing for this article is that need to wait 10 minutes and don’t press anything extra.

But there are several features that should not be forgotten when turning on the heating:

If you were freezing during the cold period when you did not yet have an air conditioner, then with its purchase you will immediately feel the difference. The heat that an air conditioner provides you is cheaper than any heater. And it is also important that the temperature is very accurately maintained.

Finally, I’ll leave a link to another useful article.

I look forward to your comments and additions!
