Decorating bouquets with decorative mesh. How to pack flowers in craft paper: detailed instructions and best ideas. How to pack a bouquet of flowers with your own hands - basic recommendations

If you want to create a wedding bouquet yourself, then choose any of the two proposed methods. Learn about the language of plants and the principles of flower compositions.

The content of the article:

Flowers are amazing natural creatures. Just looking at them is sometimes enough to lift your spirits. Flowers are used to decorate rooms, decorate tables during a significant event, and are presented as a sign of respect and love. They are bred at home, in the country. It’s nice and easy to go out into nature in the summer to admire the blooming of charming plants and immerse yourself in their aroma.

Language of plants

If you know how to make a bouquet, then you can become a florist, at least in your family, and delight your friends and loved ones with such picturesque gifts. Different colors, different groups of plants are able to tell for a person what he did not dare to tell.

Before you arrange a bouquet, learn about the language of flowers:

  • Anyone who wants to express their admiration should present a bouquet of lilies and camellias.
  • Mimosa will hint that the giver is carefully hiding his feelings for you.
  • If you were given a bouquet of white irises or pink or red roses, tulips, these plants speak eloquently of love.
  • Also, red and white roses can, in the language of flowers, assert that you are the other half of the giver (at least he or she thinks so).
  • But it’s better not to receive yellow carnations, as these flowers will convey the unpleasant news that you have fallen out of love.
  • Carnations of different colors, chrysanthemums and hyacinths are given as a sign of respect.
  • Be sure that someone is enchanted by you if you present a bouquet of lavender, violets or burgundy roses.
  • If a bouquet of orchids and chrysanthemums is made, it means that the giver is pleased to meet you.
  • And one or more branches of lilac will remind or inform that you were the giver’s first love.
Now you know which plants to use when making bouquets to express exactly the emotions that you experience. It's time to familiarize yourself with the simple rules for making arrangements from fresh flowers.

How to make a bouquet

If you want to put together a spring composition of fresh flowers, then use plants of no more than three colors. Of course, the range of shades must be combined with each other.

For example, if you take purple lilacs and want to add tulips to the composition, they should not be red or yellow. In this case, tenderness will not be achieved. To make it happen, include white, light pink or soft lilac tulips in your bouquet.

You can add other flowers, such as hyacinths, but they should also be subtle in color and blend in with the rest of the plants.

Speaking about how to make bouquets, it is important to note that one can contain several names of plants. A composition that uses gerberas, red tulips, gypsophila, and chrysanthemums looks beautiful.

It is important to follow the color palette and the principle of composing a bouquet:

  1. Place the lightest or smallest flowers along its edges, but they should not hang down. Gypsophila will look great here. Place dark and bright plants in the center of the composition. Falling and curly ones are placed near the stems of the main flowers.
  2. Don't use too many greens. Just add a carved palm leaf or a fluffy sprig of asparagus. At the same time, greens should not rise above the flowers, unlike cereals.
  3. Making bouquets also includes the knowledge that the flowers in such a composition should not be located close to each other, let them look free.
  4. When creating a composition, think about its concept. When you make a field bouquet, do not combine “complex” and “simple” flowers. After all, among lilies of the valley, daffodils, small daisies, for example, an exotic anthurium, an orchid will look ridiculous. The charm and elegance of a “simple” bouquet of small daisies and lilies of the valley will be emphasized by solidago, iris and other flowers in the same color scheme.
  5. Use plants that are in different stages of buds: have strong buds, slightly bloomed and fully opened.
To prevent vampire flowers (such as narcissus) from negatively influencing others by secreting a specific juice, first cut their stems, place them in a separate container with water for 2-3 hours, and only then add them to the bouquet.

To prevent cut flowers from wilting longer, add a sprig of geranium or thuja to them. At least every other day, trim the stems, wash them and change the water in the vase to fresh water.

Examples of creating compositions from fresh flowers

If you don't know what kind of bouquet to create for the teacher, the one presented below will be an ideal option. After all, in the language of flowers, hydrangea means “impartiality.”

To create such a flower arrangement you will need the following:

  • blue hydrangea, red lily, solidago, spray white chrysanthemum, greenery;
  • floral sponge “oasis”;
  • thin cardboard;
  • polyethylene film;
  • artificial small apples;
  • sisal coconut fiber;
  • red spray paint;
  • thick aluminum wire;
  • glue gun and silicone glue for it;
  • thin floral wire;
  • wire cutters;
  • scissors.

Take cardboard, form it into a ball 25 cm high. Secure it with glue. Make a small loop from the aluminum wire that will secure the other end of the wire when you remove it from the bottom of the bag.

If you are using cardboard whose color matches the sisal fiber, then there is no need to dye it. If the shades are different, then coat the outside of the bag with spray paint.

Disassemble sisal fabric into fibers or use coconut fabric. Using a glue gun, attach this decorative element to the cardboard cone. And at the bottom, wind it onto a curl of wire.

Take a floral sponge and place it in a container of water. To ensure that it is evenly saturated with liquid, do not drown it with your hands. After 20 minutes, take out the sponge and cut a piece out of it so that it matches the internal dimensions of the bag. To prevent the cardboard from getting wet, wrap the sponge horn in cellophane, leaving only the top part free.

We will insert flowers into it. Trim them and stick the shortened stems into a sponge horn. To make a bouquet of flowers, first take lily, solidago and greenery.

After you place them in the “oasis”, stick hydrangea, chrysanthemums there and decorate your creation with artificial apples, stringing them on small pieces of wire. You can use toothpicks instead.

The flowers in the bouquet should be arranged quite tightly, but not overlap each other. Along with the blossoming lily, its buds also look beautiful.

You can make such beautiful flower arrangements yourself and present them to a teacher or other respected person.

Jewelry for the bride

Flowers are used not only to decorate the newlywed’s hairstyle, decorate the hall, the festive table, but also, of course, to make the bride’s bouquet.

Below will be presented 2 master classes on this topic. In the first, the flowers for the wedding bouquet will be decorated using a porta bouquet maker. In the second one, no.

The bouquet holder is a hollow plastic tube, expanding towards the top, into which a floral sponge is inserted. It is saturated with a preservative solution or water so that the liquid nourishes the flowers for some time.

A bride's wedding bouquet made using this device will not only look beautiful, but will also remain fresh throughout the holiday.

To create this you will need:

  • Portable bouquet holder “Lady”;
  • satin ribbon;
  • a piece of oasis sponge;
  • anchor tape;
  • green tape;
  • double sided tape;
  • 4 white and 5 crimson roses;
  • salal leaves;
  • viburnum (viburnum berries);
  • scissors;
  • pliers.
Carefully remove the sponge from the cone, removing the plastic mesh to insert a piece of dry oasis into the hollow tube.

The bride's dress should look perfect from both the front and back. Therefore, we decorate the outer upper part of the portaquet holder with salal leaves, gluing them to double-sided tape.

For a better fit, you need to secure these leaves to the ribbed surface with anchor tape.

So that it is not visible, we wrap a light green tape over it.

If you have dry Crisal powder, add a little of it to cold water so that the sponge soaked in this solution will nourish the flowers.

If not, then place the semicircular piece of “oasis” that you first took out of the horn into the water. Don’t forget, he must drown in it himself, without your help, then he will be evenly saturated with moisture.

After this happens, take out the sponge, put it in place in the portaquet holder and secure it by covering it with a mesh. Moreover, the latter should snap onto the white part of the horn.

Next, we form the bride’s bouquet with our own hands, or by calling in assistants. We move on to decorating the handle of the horn, since the composition should look amazing from all sides. Starting from the bottom of the bouquet, cover its narrow part with double-sided tape, and place a white satin ribbon on top of it. Attach its tip using a glue gun.

Now decorate the side expanding part of the horn with leaves. Cut their stem at an angle and immediately pierce the sponge with it.

To prevent the water flowing down from the sponge from wetting the handle of the portaquet maker, we put a dry piece of “oasis” into its hollow part. It will absorb excess moisture, thereby leaving the bottom of the bouquet dry and the bride’s hands clean.

We begin to decorate the wedding bouquet with flowers. Trim the brighter roses at an angle first, distributing 3 on one side and 2 on the other side of the sponge. Then stick in white flowers and fill the gaps between the roses with viburnum and leaves. After which the composition for the bride from roses, leaves and unripe berries of viburnum is ready.

Another wedding bouquet

If you do not have special equipment, then you can perform the composition using a different technique. Not only does the bride’s bouquet consist of such roses, it can be made and given as a gift, timed to coincide with another event. This is what the final composition looks like.

For this we have prepared:

  • 10 single-headed roses;
  • 20 spray roses;
  • greenery to decorate the cuff;
  • tape.
First you need to cut off all the leaves from the stem and divide the bush rose into inflorescences. Remove excess stems from greens. Now you can begin the main stage of work.

To make a beautiful bouquet, start by placing 5 flowers parallel to each other. Their height should be the same. Place the next, sixth rose at a slight angle. Place the seventh one at an angle as well.

Gradually, turning the bouquet slightly to one side, arrange all the roses in this way. As a result of using this spiral technique, you will get a beautiful hemispherical shape. Tie it with anchor tape or tape, wrap it several times, tie it, trim off the excess.

To create a cuff, also surround the bouquet in a spiral around the outer circle with greenery. Then tie the composition again, this time with greenery.

Trim the ends of the petioles with sharp scissors or pruners so that they are the same height and the cuts are perpendicular. When you hold the arrangement, the remaining stems should be slightly longer than your palm. Now you know how to make a bridal bouquet in another way.

Gift for your girlfriend

Flowers designed in the shape of a heart will touch any representative of the fair sex. And if you make a bouquet with sweets, you will like this gift even more. To create such an original present, you will need a little, namely:
  • red carnations;
  • floral anchor tape;
  • ribbon;
  • scissors;
  • wide green tape;
  • decorations in the form of butterflies on wire;
  • pink or scarlet silk ribbon;
  • thick floral colored aluminum wire;
  • candies "Raffaello" or others in wrapper.
Here are the stages of work awaiting you. Keeping the same distance between the stems of the carnations, carefully string each flower onto the floral wire using a spiral technique. Then bend it into a heart shape. Tie the stems with floral tape.

Now decorate the stems with a wide decorative ribbon and tie a scarlet bow on top of it.

Wrap a thin textile ribbon around the inside of the carnation heart. To do this, pass it between the colors in different directions. Fill the resulting bowl with sweets and decorate the bouquet with butterflies. After which you can give a beautiful, fragrant, tasty gift.

There are many more ideas that provide both fresh and dried flowers, as well as house plants. You can familiarize yourself with them in the following articles. In the meantime, we invite you to watch interesting videos that will help you better master the presented technique of creating bouquets:

Home decor is a constant and never-ending job. In the process, new techniques and types of work are mastered. In this article we will talk about how to make flowers from corrugated paper. This paper can be found in flower shops. But it is available in a larger assortment in specialized establishments that sell everything for needlework. To work, you will also need wire or thin sticks (bamboo skewers are also suitable), glue and scissors.

General principles and rules

Despite the fact that flowers are made from corrugated paper differently, the principles of operation are the same. Here are some general rules that will help you make paper flowers with your own hands that are very similar to real ones.

That, in fact, are all the rules. And one more thing: the stem is cooked first. It uses wire or sticks of different thicknesses, which are wrapped in a long thin strip of green corrugated paper. The tape can be coated with glue and then screwed onto the base. You can twist it dry and secure the edge with a drop of glue. One more point: if you are going to assemble a composition from flowers, leave the lower 1/3 of the stem without decoration - it will be easier to compose a bouquet.

Poppies

Poppies from corrugated paper are very easy to make. It is important to find the right shade of scarlet. You will also need a small piece of black for the core. But, if you don’t have it, you can use any dark one and then paint it black.

We make a poppy from corrugated paper like this:

Poppy is one of the easiest flowers to make yourself from corrugated paper. At the same time, he looks very good. You can use them in a campaign with other flowers, or make a bouquet of poppies only.

Even such a simple flower can be made in different ways. First of all, you can change the middle. In the master class described above, the core of the flower is very simple. It can be made more like natural. We use the same technology to make the middle, but from white paper. And from black (can be painted) we cut out a strip about 1 cm wide and 4-5 cm long. On one side we cut it into thin strips (a couple of millimeters wide). We twist the resulting “noodles”, obtaining thin stamens. We wrap the stamens around the core, and then proceed according to the same algorithm.

How to make crocuses from paper and candy

An unusual gift can be made using candy as the center of flowers. It turns out to be an original sweet gift. Such a core can be made in flowers with a large, hollow bud inside - a tulip or crocus, for example. Moreover, making crocuses from corrugated paper is very simple. Everything will take 5-10 minutes. Not more.

A bouquet of corrugated paper with sweets is a nice surprise

That's all, the crocus made from corrugated paper and sweets is ready. Having made 7-9 pieces of these colors, you can put them in the basket. For more variety, you can make some small flowers.

Chrysanthemum

Using the technology described above, you can make chrysanthemums. The difference is that there will be many petals and they will be narrow. But the principle is the same: twist the upper part of the petal, lower it down. Only in the case of chrysanthemums it is necessary to give the entire petal a curved shape.

These paper chrysanthemums also use candy as the center. These corrugated paper flowers are best made from a material that is not too bright. The tones are more delicate and soft. For foliage, muted greens are also chosen. For greater believability, take paper of two similar shades and make petals in two shades.

So, we make our own chrysanthemum from corrugated paper:

This version of chrysanthemum looks good. But for greater plausibility, you can make petals of different sizes. At least three gradations are needed: small, medium and large. They will differ more in length than in width. Such a flower will look more magnificent and will look richer in a bouquet. Try it.

Asters - simple and original

If you need to make simple but effective flowers from crepe paper, try making asters. They are made from corrugation in bright and pastel shades. They look best in a bouquet, and the colors can be different.

Corrugated paper asters can also be made from petals of different sizes - shorter ones closer to the center of the flower (there should be fewer of them), and longer ones on the periphery (there should be more of them). You can bend them in one direction, or you can bend them in the opposite direction. Whatever you prefer.

Corrugated paper roses: step-by-step manufacturing algorithm (2 methods)

The good thing about corrugated paper flowers is that they can be made in different ways. The material is very plastic, it easily changes shape because there are several ways. Some people want to achieve more “naturalness”, while for others speed is important.

1 way (natural look)

For corrugated paper roses, it is better to choose paper of two or three very close shades. This will make the flower look more natural. For example, for the flower in the photo, white and crepe paper was used. The number of petals of different shades is arbitrary, as is their placement in the bud.

The manufacturing procedure is as follows:

As a result, we get a beautiful rose made of corrugated paper. In this design it looks like a real flower. There is an easier and faster way (pictured below).

Method 2 (simple and fast)

We cut out a strip of paper 7-8 cm wide. You can make it uneven - narrower on one side, wider on the other. We fold it, starting from the narrow edge, like an accordion. The width of the “accordion” is 3.5 -4.5 cm. Cut out the petals from the resulting stack at 2/3 of the height.

We wind the petals onto the wire (you don’t have to wrap it with green tape yet) starting from the narrow edge. As we roll, we give them shape with our fingers - stretch them on one side, press them at the stem. Having installed all the petals, we secure them with a thread (simply winding a certain number of turns). We adjust the petals, forming a bud.

From green paper, folded like an accordion, we cut out long and narrow petals. Please note that their ends will need to be twisted, so they should not be so narrow (approximately 1 cm). We wrap the cut out petals at the bottom, under the petals, twist the leaves with our fingers, and then shape the stem.

Corrugated paper peonies (with patterns)

For peonies, you need yellow corrugated paper for the core, green for the foliage, pink, cream, crimson for the flower itself. A wire or thin stick is suitable for the stem. You will also need PVA glue.

A peony made from corrugated paper is a rather difficult flower to make. It has many different petal shapes. You can’t do without a pattern here. But there are many varieties of peonies, so there are several patterns. Let's give two options. The first one can be printed, cut out and used as a template - it is given in a full-size image. The second option can be drawn with your own hands according to the cells.

Step-by-step manufacturing process with photos:

The corrugated paper peony is ready. Usually they are used to make a bouquet. When you make the next ones, don't try to make them exactly the same. All flowers in nature are unique. Yours should be different too.

You can play with the size and number of petals, mixing petals of different shades that are similar in color. You can try using paint to make the petals at the base darker. In general, there are a lot of options.

Corrugated paper flowers: photo ideas, patterns

Using the techniques described above, you can make any flower. The main problem is the shape, number and size of the petals. The most important thing is the form. It is characteristic of each petal. Dimensions are arbitrary. Not only do flowers in nature come in different sizes, but recently it has become fashionable to decorate the interior with giant life-size flowers. The decoration is original, but specific. It is necessary to enlarge the basic patterns many times; it is difficult to work with large scales. It is better to first practice on flowers of normal sizes, and then move on to larger ones.

A little about patterns. You can not only find them. If this happens in the summer, take the desired flower and disassemble it into petals. From the whole heap, choose the most characteristic ones, attach them to a sheet of paper, and circle them. Then the shape needs to be adjusted, taking into account the fact that these are paper flowers after all. The pattern will finally take shape after several trials and errors. We will post several patterns and master classes in photos in this section.

Cornflowers

The simpler the flower, the more ways to make it. Cornflowers can be made from corrugated paper using different techniques. Examples are in the photo.

If you want to make it very similar to the real one (A - pattern for a blossoming flower, B - for a bud)

Iris

Making paper iris requires some imagination. A very unusual flower. The photo shows several techniques that allow you to achieve different effects. Some flowers simply resemble the original, others are very similar to it.

All sorts of different things

Lilies... Beautiful, but several techniques are used

Cute daisies - an option for beginners

A beautifully decorated bouquet is the perfect addition to a gift, regardless of the occasion. Despite the fact that recently bouquets are made even from improvised materials, for example, from socks, fresh flowers remain a classic option.

Main requirements

Passing by flower displays, many people have a question about how to wrap fresh flowers in corrugated paper to highlight their beauty. Arranging bouquets, first of all, is a creative process, but if you know the basic rules of florists, you can cope with this task yourself.

Observe the following requirements for the design of compositions:

  • The paper used for packaging should be the same shade as the flowers or highlight the contrast;
  • Polyester is not recommended;
  • Felt, sisal, and decorative mesh go well with corrugated paper. It is convenient to use a jute rope for fixation;
  • You should not use large decorative elements for decoration, as they will distract attention from the main element;
  • Florists advise using freshly cut flowers - this will extend the life of the flower arrangement;
  • You can add some ornamental plants or dried flowers.

Various techniques are used to pack a bouquet, many of them require special preparation. However, there are also methods that even a beginner can handle.

To pack a bouquet, you need to prepare the following materials:

  • Scissors;
  • Scotch;
  • Decorative elements;
  • Corrugated paper;
  • Floral mesh;
  • Flowers.

Before you begin to form a bouquet, you need to cut off the edge of each stem and place them in water. This is done so that the flowers are saturated with moisture, since they will have to spend some time in the air.

Assembling a bouquet

The selected flowers need to be arranged into a bouquet, and their stems should be wrapped with tape. Thus, the volume of the base will increase and become more rigid. Using a floral mesh will improve the appearance of the bouquet and allow the flowers to stay fresh longer.

The use of wide satin ribbon is considered a classic option in flower packaging.

Corrugated paper as a wrapper gives the composition lightness, tenderness and fragility. If the bouquet contains a floral mesh, it is advisable to use decorative plants.

In order to pack a bouquet of flowers in paper, it must be spread on a flat surface face down.

Place the flowers on it so that the ends of the stems remain free. Next, wrap the bouquet in paper and tie with ribbon. Use decorative butterflies or bows as decorations.

There is another option for packaging bouquets, in which we use corrugated paper - it allows you to prolong the freshness of the plants. To do this, take a piece of fabric and soak it well with water.

Then we wrap the cuts on the stems with this cloth, and lay a layer of cling film on top. We prepare a paper sheet with which we wrap the stems of the flowers.

Depending on the number of flowers in the bouquet and its size, we prepare several sheets of paper of the same color or, conversely, a contrasting one. Wrap the top of the stem so that the sharp corners of the square are slightly higher than the height of the bud. Secure the squares with contrasting satin ribbon. As decoration, use your favorite element that matches the composition.

Corrugated paper can be used to pack not only cut flowers, but also potted plants. They are a great alternative to regular bouquets.

Such gifts retain their appearance for a long time, and all this time they will delight the happy owner. Beautiful packaging will help add sophistication. If you don’t know how to pack flowers in corrugated paper yourself, the seller can do it. However, if you show your imagination, you can cope with this task on your own.

To do this, take a sheet of paper and cut a circle out of it. Its radius should be slightly larger than the height of the pot. The edges of the circle can be left smooth or cut out in an openwork pattern. Place the flower pot in the center of the blank. Then lift the edges, securing them with tape. The corrugated mold can be decorated with a satin ribbon and tied in a bow. Instead of ribbon, you can use beads, braid or lace. To add a pop of color to your gift, use paper circles in a variety of colors and sizes.

There are several ways to pack a flower pot. For example, from two pieces of sheets, use a stapler to make a symbolic bag in which to place the plant. Handles for such packaging can be made from small pieces of braid.

Let your gift be bright and fresh!

Today we will learn how to work with corrugated paper. We will get packaging for flowers from corrugated paper (in common parlance - corrugated bouquets). Corrugated paper itself comes in different colors and different densities (we will divide it into simple and “more expensive”). When you go to a flower wholesale with packaging, you will understand everything yourself and quickly learn to understand this very corrugated (crepe) paper.

In principle, packaging is becoming obsolete, but in provincial small (and large too) cities it is still relevant. Making bouquets is easy and quick. One of the universal packaging options for bouquets of chrysanthemums (spray and single-headed), bouquets of 3 or 5 roses, as well as mixed bouquets.

It is almost impossible to make such packaging manually; you will need a corrugated paper machine (or a corrugated machine). This is a special device thanks to which you can create beautiful flower packaging. Below is an example of our old crepe machine. It comes with fine cloves.

Corrugation machines come in different types. They usually differ in the width of the teeth. You may have noticed that bouquets from “florists” come out differently in terms of corrugated paper. It's all about those teeth!

Also, machines for corrugated paper (or crepe paper) differ by manufacturer. There are Russian ones (in my opinion, rather crudely made), and there are Italian ones (nice to look at and work with, but they are more expensive than ours).

We will also need scissors, a stapler and simple flower packaging made of cellophane. The most ordinary packaging for peonies or tulips will do, but you can do it yourself. The point is that we will need to make a “leg” for this bouquet.

Flower traders often use the entire length of the corrugation, but it is not entirely profitable, since there is an overuse of paper, and there is also a high risk of getting the paper wet in the finished bouquet (then the corrugation will “leak”, which will look unsightly). To avoid this, we usually use our method of making cellophane "legs". However, you can make any variations, try, experiment!

We will need to cut 2 strips! One strip will be wider, the other strip will be narrower. This is necessary in order to make the packaging colorful. The length of the packaging will be discussed in the video below, but you can make any length depending on how full the bouquets are. For bouquets of chrysanthemums or 3 roses with greenery, the corrugated paper packaging will be narrower; for some mixed bouquets with many flowers, the packaging will, of course, be much wider!

Take the first roll of corrugated paper

Cut several narrow strips

Compared to a whole roll of paper

Let's start spinning

Nothing complicated! It just takes practice!

We do this until the end!

Now we connect all this with a wider piece

And again we pass through the corrugation machine

Now we use a stapler and connect the paper together at both ends

All that remains is to attach the “leg” using a stapler. The lower part can be either transparent or colored, this is where your imagination and common sense run wild!

Pieces of corrugated paper can be of different widths

The end result can be such a nice package with hearts!

Bouquet of lilies in corrugated paper

Roses in a net with a bird DIY bouquet

Some bouquets look gorgeous even without decoration. But more often than not, correctly selected packaging decorates a flower arrangement and makes it special. To learn how to beautifully pack flowers with your own hands, you should familiarize yourself with the art of decorating them.

Basic Rules

Before you start arranging flowers, you should familiarize yourself with the packaging rules.

When decorating a bouquet, the main emphasis should be on the flowers. The packaging is a complementary element that emphasizes their beauty. And if necessary, hides small defects.

Do not pack flowers entirely in a bag or crepe paper. Decoration with synthetic ribbons has also gone out of fashion.

The packaging should not have too many eye-catching decorative elements. The flower arrangement should attract attention.

Naturalness is in trend, so natural materials are relevant. You can use felt, jute, mesh, sisal or rice parchment packaging.

Wrapping

One common type of packaging material is wrapping film. It can be transparent, with a pattern, multi-colored or plain.

Using a film bag to decorate a bouquet, you will need tape and a stapler. To highlight each flower in the composition, their stems are placed at slight angles. The base of the stems is wrapped with tape to add volume. The bouquet is wrapped in packaging film. Using a stapler, folds are made. A beautiful and elegant bouquet is ready.

Packing mesh

Synthetic mesh is becoming increasingly popular. It comes with a striped or diamond pattern. It can also be with or without the addition of lurex.

Nets made from natural materials look beautiful. They are made from non-woven fabric, jute, burlap, rattan and sisal.

The advantage of packaging using mesh is its strength and flexibility. This allows you to transport the bouquet without fear for its safety.

The mesh also adds extra volume to flower arrangements. Green ornamental plants go well with the floral mesh.

Corrugated paper

The corrugated paper packaging will add airiness to the flower arrangement. But you need to work with it very carefully, as it tears easily and quickly loses its appearance.

One design option is packaging that resembles an hourglass shape. For this:

  • corrugated paper must be assembled in the form of an accordion;
  • place the bouquet in the middle;
  • wrap flowers;
  • tie with a ribbon.

Rice paper

To elegantly wrap a bouquet with rice paper, you need to collect the flowers so that their stems fit closely to each other. Stems that are too long should be trimmed.

Flowers with small inflorescences should be placed around the perimeter of the composition. You can also add various decorative elements. But don’t get carried away, as the bouquet should not look overloaded.

Wrapping paper

You can simply and tastefully arrange a bouquet using regular wrapping paper. It is necessary to cut out paper of a suitable size, fold and wrap the flowers. You can bandage it with a tourniquet or thick thread. A note with kind words will add romance to the bouquet.

Kraft paper

Bouquets are packaged similarly using kraft paper. A distinctive feature is the original design, which can be selected in accordance with the desired theme.

The vintage style of this paper is attractive and inviting.

Satin ribbon

You can decorate a flower arrangement without using special packaging materials using a wide satin ribbon.

You need to choose a ribbon of a suitable color and wrap it around the stems several times and tie a bow.

For small bouquets, you can wrap the stems to the base. For larger arrangements, you can leave the ends of the stems open.

To make a flower, we will prepare the following materials: green corrugated paper, corrugated paper for a flower (choose the appropriate color), small candy, floral wire, tape, strong threads, scissors.

first you need to cut out 6 petals from corrugated paper, 4 cm wide and 7 cm high. Then - 5 petals 6 cm wide and 7 cm high. After this, you need to round the edges of the petals

Now we will give the blanks a shape like rose petals . To do this, you need to pull out the middle of each workpiece along its entire length, without touching the edges. The petals should look the same as in the photo.

Now we will make sepals for the flower . We cut out the blanks as shown in the photo and stretch the middle from the edge to the top of each sepal. The edges need to be curled a little. The candy is secured on a wire with thread

Now we will make a bud with candy filling. One of the wide petals must be wrapped around the candy so that it is not visible

Now you need to tightly wrap the remaining 4 wide petals around the core so that the height is the same.

Now we will wrap narrower rose petals . They are located 2 opposite each other. These petals are no longer strengthened so tightly.

We will tape the sepals of the rose with tape.

Decorative film for flowers is one of the cheapest types of packaging. Every flower seller (even a grandmother with daisies under her store) is sure to have it on hand. Floral film is popular not only because it is cheap, but also due to its huge range - any print can be applied to such film. In principle, even ordinary transparent film without a pattern can be perfect for packaging a bouquet.

How to decorate a bouquet with floral film - three main ways

The simplest packaging for flowers is the usual “wrapping” of the bouquet in film. This method, however, is only suitable for long and thin bouquets (something like several roses, tulips, etc.). To do this, take the film, cut out a rectangular blank from it and place it on a hard surface. Now place the bouquet on the left or right edge of the film (whichever is more convenient for you) at an NOT right angle, then carefully wrap the bouquet.
Note: the bouquet needs to be wrapped at an indirect angle in order to get a neat “corner”.

Well, now for a more complex packaging method. To begin with, you will need two types of film: the first is transparent with small prints, the second is plain with rich color. I would like to immediately note that you need to be very careful when choosing the colors and design of the film: if the transparent film has a neat print in the form of light purple petals, then the second film should be painted in a rich (rather even dark) purple color.

Let's return to the packaging process: you will need to cut out three rectangular blanks from transparent film with a light print, after which each of them is folded in half, but not evenly. That is, one layer should peek out a little from behind the second. Now we take our bouquet and wrap it in blanks on three sides so that the bend of the film is next to the stems of the flowers, and the unevenly folded edges are next to the flowers themselves. Now you need to cut out a large square from the second film of saturated color and place it on a flat surface. Next, place the bouquet in the center of the square and wrap it. Messy edges can be secured with a stapler or clear tape. This design of the bouquet will allow you to almost double it (visually, of course).

There is also an interesting way to pack bouquets that consist of flowers of different lengths. Have you ever made paper airplanes as a child? Remember.

To begin, you will need to cut out four blanks from a single-color opaque film: two large rectangles and two small ones. The width should be the same - the only difference will be the length. We fold small rectangles unevenly (the same as in the previous paragraph). With large blanks everything becomes more interesting: first you need to wrap the corners, as if you were going to make a regular airplane. Now we turn the workpiece over and fold the sides towards the center. Then again (without turning over). This way you will get a blank that resembles an isosceles triangle (remember school geometry). Why not immediately cut out the finished triangle? The answer is simple: there will be no sustainability. This blank will fold in half as soon as you take the bouquet in your hands. In a similar way, by the way, we make a triangle from the second piece of film.

Now the bouquet itself: short flowers need to be grouped on one side of the bouquet, and long ones on the other (the ends of the stems should be at the same level). After this, we wrap the bouquet with small, unevenly folded blanks on the side of the short flowers, and with triangles on the side of the long ones. If everything is done correctly, the picture should turn out quite interesting.

In general, experiment and do not forget that various accessories for flowers can also give an interesting look to the bouquet.

Flowers are the most relevant gift for all kinds of holidays. It happens that you have to pack flowers yourself. Sometimes you even want to show your imagination and package them in some original way. Here are some tips for packing flowers.

How to pack flowers - standard packaging

Most often, flowers are packed in paper, corrugated paper, or mesh. To begin with, wrap the base of the bouquet with tape, so it will not fall apart and it will be easier for you to pack the flowers. Next, wrap the flowers in wrapping paper or mesh and secure with a stapler. Tie a small ribbon bow around the stems.

How to pack flowers - minimalism

It is not necessary to buy paper and mesh for packaging. A small bouquet can be packed simply and originally. Take some lace ribbon and wrap it around the flower stems. Secure with a pin or staple, or simply tie it with a bow. This bouquet looks very delicate, but this method is only suitable for small and not voluminous bouquets.

How to pack flowers in a box

A fairly common way to present a bouquet is flowers in a box. The advantage is that water will not drip from such flowers, the box will protect you from thorns (if any), and it is more convenient to accept it from the congratulator. It’s convenient to carry the box around the city even in public transport, without fear that someone will ruin your bouquet. To make a bouquet, purchase a gift box. Cover the bottom with polyethylene and secure it with tape. Place a floral sponge on the polyethylene and soak it in water. Carefully trim the flower roots to fit the box, place the flowers in the box and cover with a lid. Remember that such a bouquet must be made immediately before delivery, since the flowers may lose their fresh appearance. Along with the flowers, you can put a few sweets or cookies in the box.

How to pack flowers in a basket

Choose a basket that matches the colors. Cover the bottom and walls with cellophane so that they do not get wet. Place the floral sponge at the bottom of the basket and secure with wire. Water the sponge with a special solution for flowers or ordinary water. Place the flowers in the mold so that the basket stands level and does not fall, and the flower arrangement looks beautiful.

How to pack flowers in a balloon

Flowers packed in a balloon will surprise the recipient. It is quite difficult to do this yourself, since you need special equipment to supply air to the ball. Many flower shops do this. If you want to surprise your friends, order flowers in a balloon.

How to pack flowers in a paper bag

You can buy a paper bag or make it yourself. This bag holds its shape well and will deliver your flowers safe and sound. If you decide to make the package yourself, you need to take special paper. Roll it into the desired shape and secure it by gluing it with a glue gun. Make holes and thread the ribbon. Place flowers in the package.

How to pack flowers in pots

If you are going to give flowers in pots, then they can also be packaged beautifully. Take crepe paper or fabric, wrap the pot and tie a ribbon around the pot. This way the flower in the pot looks more elegant and will look more like a gift.

When packing flowers, remember that the main gift is flowers and the main emphasis should be on them. Choose the appropriate color scheme for the packaging, which will only highlight the gift and not overshadow it. Delight your friends with fresh and beautifully packaged flowers.

The holidays are getting closer (it doesn’t matter New Year, Birthday, Wedding Day, you never know), gifts and menus are in place, but... Flowers! Nowadays it’s quite difficult to find a beautiful and intact package, and if you do, it’s most often either very beautiful (then it’s a shame to throw it away) or expensive (especially on holidays, this bag costs a fortune).

What should you do: fork out the cash again and spend time, or resort to good old advice from the “Do It Yourself” category? Let's find out how to beautifully pack flowers! And do it yourself.

Beautiful DIY flower gift

If the gift is complemented by flowers, but there are problems with the packaging (it doesn’t fit, it’s wrinkled, it’s torn, it’s missing), you need to do it yourself.

So, in order to create the packaging that you like, you need to take:

  • flowers;
  • stationery knife or scissors;
  • narrow tape;
  • small decorative elements;
  • packaging material (rice composition is perfect, wrapping would be a good option and the most popular is corrugated).

General rules for registration

Methods used by many florists:

  1. In order for the bouquet to please the owner for a long time, it is better to cut the plants (or take the morning batch) and store them in the cold;
  2. the stems, to give the flowers splendor, are tied with tape (you can do this more than once);
  3. paper must be selected not only by quality, but also by combination with the bouquet itself;
  4. accessories should add charm to the plants, but not “pull the blanket over yourself” (for example, sometimes one ribbon is enough).

How to beautifully pack flowers with your own hands?

Before the decoration part, a part of the stem of the flowers is cut out and placed in water, otherwise, within an hour, they will wither.

If the wrapping paper is corrugated, then you need to understand that such packaging adds lushness to the bouquets (if it is lush in itself, it is better to refuse such material, otherwise it will be “heavy”).

If the packaging design is rice- then the bag will acquire romance and tenderness (an excellent option for a wedding). It is better to use wrapping paper for official meetings (“expensive and tasteful”), but alas, it deteriorates very quickly.

If the bouquet gift consists of plants that are easily deformed (break), then carefully wrap them in a bag and tie the stems with wire or a rope (it can be “hidden” with an elegant ribbon or bow).

Options for packaging in different colors

Universal

  • determination of the components of the bouquet, selection of material (for example, lilies will look good in a gift box);
  • So, it’s worth remembering that the packaging tape is called raffia and that there are wavy lines, just hold part of the tape and one of the blades of the scissors - pull sharply along the entire length (it’s better not for children to do this). Now the beautiful bouquet holder is ready;
  • cut out a square slightly larger than the bouquet component and fold it using a scarf method - the design and stems should be inside. Instead of a square, you can cut out two strips and arrange them so that a halo is formed over the flowers. It’s beautiful and won’t harm the flowers;
  • You can tie it with two different ribbons and secure it with a bow or a beautiful pebble.

If these are wildflowers

  • so that the bouquet does not stand out too much and looks really nice, you need to give preference to small and simple plants;
  • fold the paper into a triangular shape;
  • we connect everything together (thin festive fabric or lace will do), secure it with tape or a tourniquet, and disguise it with raffia.

How to decorate a chamomile bag?

  • the base of the plant is rewound with small tape several times;
  • We make the packaging like a sack and place flowers in it;
  • secure the bag with tape.

Roses

  • take the thinnest paper, for example tissue paper;
  • it folds into a triangular shape, hiding the stems;
  • we connect, adding folds along the way;
  • now we use thick fabric or festive paper and do the same as in point 1;
  • secure with a bow or ribbon and straighten the folds.

Now it’s time to make a stand/backdrop for a bouquet of roses

  • Roses will look better on dark cardboard (but not black!) or velvet paper;
  • a strip slightly longer than the plant is cut out;
  • bend one part of the resulting strip into a loop;
  • close the bottom of the stand;
  • The resulting “pocket” straightens out and insert the flower there. You can donate!

For an exotic plant

If you are giving an orchid, gerbera, iris or a complex plant, then:

  • a square or rectangular shape is cut out (you need to proceed from the volume of the bouquet) - it is better to take corrugated paper material;
  • Place the bouquet in the center of the figure on transparent paper and connect the even parts at the top;
  • the ends are tied with a bow or raffia, then straightened.

Flowers in a pot

There are such plants that they cannot survive without their native one, what should we do with them?

  • if the plant is without a pot, then take a disposable cup and place a sheet of foil in it;
  • use the same paper on the outside of the glass or pot;
  • We fix it with a ribbon/bow, and the folds are corrected.
