Rose from foamiran (70 photos): how to make it yourself. We make templates for roses from foamiran on our own Flat rose from foamiran pattern

Foamiran (as well as foam or fom) is a modern decorative material that is great for creating flowers. Working with this material is easy and pleasant, and the resulting flowers are very similar to real ones. Small flowers are used to create rings, earrings, beads and other jewelry. More details later in the article.

  • Rose from Thomas

    Foamiran is a very flexible foam rubber that feels like thin suede. Flowers made from this material are practically indistinguishable from real ones. They are used for interior compositions, attached to brooches or clothing.

    Foamiran is used to create various three-dimensional decorative figures. The flower can be one-color, two-color or multi-colored - it all depends on the desire of the artist. It can be standard or peony-shaped, with or without a stem.

    The rose can be small or large, used as a brooch or for photo shoots.

    Using these instructions you can make a beautiful and simple rose from Thomas. This flower can be used as a decoration for a hair clip or elastic band.

    Tools you will need:

    • Pencil.
    • Long skewer.
    • Scissors.
    • Iron.
    • Glue gun.
    • Sponge.
To create you need:
  • Cardboard.
  • Millet cereal.
  • Foamiran.
  • Cotton buds.
  • Acrylic paints.
  • First, we draw the templates on a piece of paper or print ready-made ones. There should be two small patterns with four petals, two medium ones with four and three large ones with five. We also draw a sepal with five leaves.
  • We prepare two sheets of fom (one pink, the other green), 1 mm thick.
  • Using a skewer or toothpick, transfer the contours onto the foamiran from the paper.
  • We cut out the blanks according to the resulting contour: two small with four, two medium with four, three with five and one sepal.
  • We take a cotton swab, which will become the base, and cut off the end wrapped in cotton. At the other end, coat the cotton wool with hot glue from a glue gun and dip it in millet or semolina.
  • While the glue is not completely dry, form with your fingers about a centimeter in diameter.
  • Paint the ball with pink acrylic paint.
  • We heat the iron low and apply the workpieces to the iron one by one to heat them up.

The iron should not be warm, but not hot (silk-wool mode).

  • After this, we immediately press the petal to the sponge and press it with our finger to bend it, then carefully pull it from the edge and the middle, making it wavy. We repeat the same steps with each one.
  • We prepare the rest, cut out the sepal leaves, bend them and give them a wavy shape. When cutting through the leaves, we do not reach the very middle.
  • We pierce the middle of the workpiece with four petals with a skewer or toothpick. We put them on the stick, moving them closer to the ball.
  • We glue them one by one and form a bud by applying a little glue.
  • We put on the middle blanks, placing them so that they cover the gaps between the petals in the first row. We paste one by one, slightly winding one after another.
  • We repeat the same steps with the next row (each one covers the space between the previous two).
  • Glue all the remaining petals to finish.
  • Cut off the tube from the cotton swab at the base of the flower. You can glue a hair clip or a hair tie.
A simple rose for decoration is ready. Even a beginner can do it. This flower does not have a stem, and therefore it can be used for various hair decorations.

Big rose

Following these instructions we will make a large tea rose from foamiran. The diameter of the flower reaches 65 cm, the height of the stem is 1.8-2 m. Such huge flowers are used for photo shoots, room decoration and various festive events.

In this master class, the rose should turn out to be open; it can also be made in the form of a bud, increasing the number of petals and arranging them more densely.

For production you will need:
  • Three meters of plastic-metal pipe.
  • Scotch.
  • Four sheets of pink foamiran.
  • Stapler.
  • Corrugated green paper.
  • Half a sheet of green foamiran.
  • Cardboard.
  • Green tape.
  • Second glue and hot glue gun.
  • Six tubes twisted from newspapers and cardboard.

Step by step instructions

  • We take pink foamiran and bend it in half twice, then cut it into rectangles measuring 30*35 cm (we will need six pieces). We cut out the other two rectangles from another sheet. Fold the sheets in half and cut out petals from them.
  • We cut the remaining sheet of foamiran into two squares measuring 30*30 cm. You need six such squares, so we cut the rest from the third sheet. From these squares we will cut out the same blanks, but smaller in size.
  • We divide the fourth sheet into three parts (sides 60 cm long) so that we get rectangles 70*20 cm, with a side 70 cm. We cut out rectangles 20*26 cm from them, and then blanks of the same shape.
  • We stretch the blanks by the edges, making them wavy. Stretching the largest ones, we retreat 10 cm from the bottom. We process everything this way.

Making the base

  • For the base of our flower, cut out a 20*20 square from cardboard and round the edges. We make folds at the petals in their lower part, securing them with a stapler.
  • On the largest blanks (first and second rows) we form three folds. For the third row we make two folds.
  • We retreat five cm from the edge of the base and glue the first petals. Then we glue the second and third rows, closing the gaps.
  • From the remaining material we cut out petals 12*15 cm, there should be six of them. We give them the desired shape, make one fold at a time and glue the fourth row. We do the same with the fifth row.
  • We heat the workpieces on a warm iron (“silk-wool” mode). We put them in an accordion and rub them between our fingers, straighten them and give them a convex shape. We make waves on the blanks.
  • Glue the remaining material, twisted into a funnel, into the middle. At this stage, the tea rose without a stem can be considered complete. You can make a mount at the base of the flower, glue the sepals and hang it on the wall.
  • In this master class we will make a stem. We take 6-7 newspaper tubes, insert them into a plastic-metal pipe, mark the length at which the tubes fit into the pipe.
  • According to the mark made, heavily coat the tubes with glue. We glue the prepared mount to the base and coat it with glue.
  • We put a plastic-metal pipe on the mount and coat it well with glue. If you are going to make a removable rose, then you do not need to apply glue.
  • To form a sepal, you need to take half of a leaf of green foamiran. Cut out sepal leaves from it (there should be 6-8 of them). We cut them, fold them into an accordion and then rub them with our fingers, then glue them, covering the base of the flower.
  • After the sepal is ready, we begin to process the stem. To do this, take corrugated paper (to save tape). It is needed so that the stem does not show through.
  • After the paper, wrap the stem with tape. The tea growth rose is ready. Use it as room decoration or for photo shoots. It is no worse than large indoor flowers and palm trees.

Peony rose

This is an excellent option for those who find other master classes too difficult. This rose differs from other types, since its bud consists of petals twisted into a spiral and closely spaced to each other.

To create you need:
  • Scissors.
  • Foamiran (yellow and green).
  • Thick hook.
  • Hot glue gun.
  • Ball on the handle.
  • Wire.
  • A little thick foam rubber covered with thick, lint-free fabric.

First you need to make blanks of leaves and petals. You can use cardboard to create blanks of the desired shape, or you can immediately cut them from foamiran. Details with slightly different shapes and contours will make the product more realistic.

We cut out twelve small blanks from yellow foamiran and six of the same in a different shade of yellow.

Advice

If there is no foamiran of different shades, we use the material of the same color.

We give the petals a more realistic look and shape. We press all but the largest ones to a heated iron. We place the hot part on the foam rubber and press it with a hook in the middle.

In the same way, we heat up large pieces, transfer them to foam rubber and roll them with a ball. If there is no bead, take a large bead and attach it to a skewer or knitting needle.

Assembly

We string the sepals onto a toothpick and apply them to the iron. We bend the ends a little. We take a thin wire and cut 4 pieces from it, bending a small loop at the end of each.

We glue three blanks onto each piece of wire, their edges should be directed in one direction. We glue four larger ones onto these blanks. Then we form the third layer and glue three petals to each piece.

We twist the resulting pieces in pairs. Then we twist the blanks again and place them in the common middle. We glue four darker (if you use foamiran of two different shades) petals from the bottom, then the lighter ones.

Each new leaf should cover the junction of two from the previous row. We glue the sepals last.

Also, to add realism, you can slightly tint the edges of the petals with yellow. To do this, we use acrylic paints or dry pastels.

The peony rose is ready. You can attach leaves, a pin, wear it as a brooch, or attach it to a hair tie.

Step-by-step instruction

  • We take 2 strips of material, 5 cm wide and 24 cm long, and 4 * 36 cm. We cut the strips, from them we should get six rectangles 5 * 4 cm and twelve - 4 * 3 cm. We cut out blanks from them.
  • We lay them out on office paper and place a second sheet on top. We go over the iron several times on both sides until the workpieces become thinner.
  • We paint the tips of large blanks using red oil pastels. We put them in an accordion and rub them between our fingers. We straighten them and give them a convex shape.
  • We put the small blanks into an accordion and repeat with them all the same actions as with the large ones. Glue the pieces together in pairs.
  • Cut a piece of foil 12*12 and roll it into a ball, which will become the base of the flower. Glue petals to it on all sides.

Step-by-step instruction

  • We form the top of the center, glue the rest and the bottom part, cutting off the excess. It turns out to be a bud. We glue small pieces together and glue the bud in the middle.
  • We cut out leaves from green foamiran, paint them with green oil pastels, and paint the edges of the leaves with pink. Shade the paint with a sponge.
  • We cut out the veins on the leaves, then iron them at low temperature, and then press them using a mold, and secure the rose with a clip. The little rose is ready.

Rose made of shiny foamiran

A rose made from shiny foam is very bright. It can be used as an accessory or to give the interior a more cheerful look.

It will require:
  • Iron.
  • Glue gun.
  • PVA glue.
  • Foamiran of any color.
  • Acrylic or pastel paints for tinting.
  • Paper for making stencils. You can also find a template on the Internet and print it.
  • A small sponge.
  • Polymer clay.
  • Scissors.
  • Wire No. 26.
  • Cardboard.
  • Pliers.
  • Set of toothpicks.
  • Mold for highlighting veins on leaves.

It is not at all necessary to use all the materials listed in the list. This list is suitable for people who are professionally involved in creating roses from foamiran.

Step-by-step instruction

  • We make a pattern on paper. Then we cut out the templates and apply them to the foamiran, cutting out the blanks. The outline of the parts on the foamiran can be drawn with a sharp toothpick or a plastic knife.
  • Take a sheet of thick paper or cardboard. Draw a future petal or leaf on it. It should be shaped like a stretched drop.
  • For beginners or those who are bad at drawing, it is better to copy from a finished image or print templates. We cut out the elements from paper and apply them to a sheet of foamiran.
  • We cut out the elements on the foamiran according to the template. This should be done not with a pencil, but with a toothpick or plastic knife. We cut out the petal according to the resulting contour.

We cut out the number of parts we need (depending on the size of the flower). The more petals, the more magnificent it will be. It's better to cut out a few spare parts if you can't make a neat piece the first time.

Rose base

Let's take polymer clay. We make a small drop out of it and put it on the end of the wire. Then we lubricate the base with glue and attach it to the workpiece. Instead of polymer clay, you can use cotton wool.

Using a sponge, paint the base in the color we need. The most commonly used paint is red or pink. We dilute acrylic with water and apply it to the workpiece.

Lightly iron the cut out petals with a hot iron. Then we fold them in half and twist them so that they become thinner and can be wrapped inward. Spare blanks may be needed at this stage, as they often break during screwing.

Paint the leaves green. We stretch them a little with our fingers to give them a more natural look. We twist the leaves.

Lightly stretch the tip of each petal, making it more wavy. Give the petals a convex shape (you can do this with your fingers or a ball). We tint the edges of the leaves by applying paint with a sponge.

Glue petals and leaves around the clay base. We glue the leaves overlapping, covering the previous one with the end of each new petal. We bend the top of each a little so that the rose looks like a real one.

We start with the smallest petals, wrapping them around the base close to each other. At the initial stage, you should get a kind of bud. We glue medium-sized petals, covering with each petal a small part of the previous one.

We bend the edge of the last petal under the very first petal. Glue the sepals, placing its leaves in the desired directions.

Rose on a stem

A foamiran rose on a stem can even replace a real one. It is not suitable for a brooch, but it can easily be used to decorate a room.

To create a rose you will need:
  • Glue gun.
  • Wire No. 24 and No. 20.
  • Templates for petals and leaves made of cardboard.
  • Green and pastel foamiran.
  • Acrylic paints.
  • Imprint for veins on leaves.
  • PVA glue.
  • Sponge.
  • Sharp scissors.
  • Polymer clay.
  • Iron.
  • Wire cutters and pliers (for wire).
  • Toothpicks.

Let's draw patterns of petals and leaves on cardboard. You also need a template for the sepals.

Using a toothpick, trace the outline of the cardboard stencil on a sheet of foamiran. Let's cut out these blanks.

Let's mold the base in the form of a drop of self-hardening polymer clay. Instead of clay, foil or cotton wool will do. The base should not be loose.

Take #20 wire and bend a small loop with pliers and coat it with glue. We insert a loop from the wide part of the base.

Making petals

To give the petals a more natural look, paint the edges with dry pastel or acrylic. To do this, wet a sponge, pick up paint and tint the petals on each side. Shade the lower edges of the petals with yellow, then apply a little green on top, tinting the edges of the petals with red.

Heat the petal with a warm iron (silk-wool mode), then fold it like an accordion. Twist the petal halfway around its axis several times, starting from the edge painted red. This will make the petal thinner and wavy (at this stage they often tear, so you need to cut out a few spare ones).

Unwind the petal and make it convex. To give a more natural look, twist the painted part into a tube on both sides.

Apply the leaf blanks to a warm iron, then press them onto the mold to make veins. Instead of an imprint, you can use toothpicks or a plastic knife.

Lightly stretch the edges of the leaf, giving them a wavy shape. Heat the sepal with an iron and curl its leaves like petals. We twist it with our fingers, making the petals convex.

Flower assembly

We assemble our rose, placing the petals at the same level. Glue the three smallest ones into the first row with a glue gun. We cut off the protruding edges at the bottom and glue the petals down, pressing them down and folding them into a bud.

We collect the second row of four small petals. We glue with an overlap, the petals should cover the joints of the two on the previous row.

We slightly trim the five largest petals from the bottom and form the next row from the scraps. Glue the blanks from below.

For the fifth row, take seven large petals and apply glue to two points of the base. Glue the remaining petals in the last row (there should be 8-10 of them if you cut out spare petals). The bottom of the flower must be decorated carefully.

Glue the petals to the base, apply a drop of glue at the base and wait until it hardens. Cut strips 0.5-0.7 cm wide from a green sheet of foamiran.

We cut the tip of each strip diagonally and tightly wrap it with No. 24 wire, first spreading it with glue. Glue the leaf to the wire. When gluing the second sheet, carefully hide the visible glue and wire under it.

Glue the sepals next to the base. We wrap the stem with foamiran tape and glue the leaves to it in those places where the wire is visible.

Wrap the wire with green material and assemble a rosette of three leaves. Using a glue gun, glue the branches with leaves to the very bottom of the stem.

We wrap the resulting stem with a strip of foamiran so as to hide the glue. At this stage, the rose on the stem can be considered complete. Now this beautiful flower can be used to decorate rooms or use for photo shoots.

The rose is deservedly called the queen of the garden. The variety of its shapes and colors evokes delight and a desire to touch this miracle. Do you want to know how to make a rose from foamiran? In terms of grace, it is not inferior to the real one and will delight you with its unfading beauty for a long time.

Lush rose

Let's create a lush tea rose from foamiran, which can outshine any living flower.

For work, prepare:

  • foamiran (green and pastel);
  • scissors with sharp blades;
  • PVA glue;
  • glue gun;
  • wire No. 20 and No. 24;
  • acrylic paints;
  • polymer clay;
  • cardboard templates of leaves and petals;
  • imprint to create veins on leaves;
  • sponge;
  • iron;
  • pliers and wire cutters;
  • toothpick.
First of all, you need to draw templates of the petals and leaves of our future rose on cardboard. Also don't forget about the sepals.

Dimensions:
large petal - 5*6 cm;
small - 4*4, ;
leaf - 5*6, ;
sepal - 7*6.5 cm.

Let's start production
  1. Using a toothpick, trace the stencils onto a sheet of foamiran.

  2. Carefully cut out the blanks.

  3. Make a droplet of self-hardening polymer clay. This will be the base of the rose. If there is no clay, you can use cotton wool or foil. Try to roll the droplet as dense as possible. Bend a small loop at the end of the #20 wire with pliers and coat it with PVA glue. Insert the loop into the thick part of the base drop.

  4. To make the petals more realistic, tint them with acrylic paints or dry pastels. With a damp sponge, pick up a little paint and apply it on both sides of the workpiece. Shade the base of the petal with yellow paint, apply green paint on top, leaving some of the yellow unpainted. Color the edges of the petal red.

  5. Carefully place the petal on the heated iron. Then quickly fold the hot petal into an accordion shape.

  6. Twist the workpiece around the axis halfway several times, starting from the red edge. This will make it thinner and give it a more wavy look. This is a critical stage: the petals may accidentally tear, so it’s better to cut them out with a margin.

  7. Unroll the petal and use your two thumbs to form a convex shape.

  8. For greater realism, twist the red part of the petal into a tube on both sides as in the photo.

    As a result of all manipulations, you will get beautiful blanks.

  9. Now move on to the leaves. Place the workpiece on the hot iron. After this, press the sheet of paper firmly against the print so that the veins are imprinted. If you don’t have a special mold, You can press the veins with a toothpick or the blunt side of a knife.

  10. Stretch the edges of the leaf a little to make them wavy. This way the blank will turn out to be as realistic as possible.

  11. Heat the sepals on an iron and curl them like rose petals. Unroll it and use your fingers to give it a little bulge.

  12. You can pick a rose. Place the petals at the same level.

    In the first row, use a glue gun to glue three small pieces.

  13. Trim the edges of the petals sticking out from the bottom. Then glue the petals from below, press them lightly, forming a dense bud.

  14. You can form a second row. It consists of 4 small petals. Glue them in a circle, each petal should half cover the previous one.

  15. Trim the bottom of 5 large petals a little.

  16. Form the third row from the trimmed blanks.

    Already at this stage a beautiful flower is obtained.

    Don't forget to glue the bottom of the petals.

  17. The fifth row consists of 7 large petals.

  18. Apply glue at two points on the base of the workpiece.

    Admire the result of the work.

  19. Glue the remaining petals in the same way in the last row (you should have 8 of them left, or 10 if you made spare petals). Make sure the bottom of the rose is neat. To do this, glue the bases of all the petals.

  20. Apply a bead of glue to the base of the rose and let it harden.

  21. Cut strips 0.5-0.7 mm wide from green foamiran.

  22. Cut the end of each ribbon diagonally. Wrap it tightly around #24 wire, after lubricating the tip with glue. Glue the sheet to the wire.

  23. When gluing the second leaf, hide traces of glue and wire under it.

  24. Carefully glue the sepal to the base of the rose.

  25. Wrap the foamiran ribbon tightly around the stem of the flower.

  26. Glue the leaves one at a time to the unwrapped pieces of wire.

  27. Wrap the foamiran around the wire and assemble a rosette of three leaves.

  28. Using a gun, glue the branches with leaves to the stem of the rose.

  29. We wrap the formed stem with a strip of foamiran, hiding all traces of glue.

The resulting beauty is breathtaking! Is not it? Make such a bush rose, place it in a beautiful jar or elegant pot - a unique element of interior decor is ready.

Peony option

If the previous method of forming a flower seemed too complicated to you, pay attention to this master class. By following the step-by-step instructions, you can create a beautiful peony rose.

Necessary materials:

  • foamiran (yellow, preferably two shades, and green);
  • sharp scissors;
  • glue gun;
  • wire;
  • thick hook;
  • ball on the handle;
  • thick foam rubber covered with dense, lint-free material.
The first step is to prepare the petals and leaves. You can use a cardboard template, or you can immediately cut them out of foamiran. A slight difference in the shapes and sizes of the blanks will only add realism to the product. We cut out 12 of the smallest petals in the main color and 6 in another shade of yellow. If you do everything only in yellow, it’s okay.

Now you can give the blanks a natural shape. Place all the petals, except the largest ones, one by one on a heated iron. Place the hot plastic piece on the foam rubber and press it in the middle with a hook.

Heat large petals in the same way, place them on foam rubber and roll them with force into a ball. If you don’t have such a ready-made tool, you can attach a large bead to a wooden skewer or knitting needle.

Place the sepal on a toothpick and place it on the iron. The tips of the petals should curve slightly.

We evaluate the result.

Take a thin wire. Cut 4 pieces, bend a small loop at the end of each.

Glue 3 small petals onto each wire. Their edges should face the same direction.

Now glue 4 petals of the following size onto these blanks.

Form the third layer by gluing 3 more petals onto each piece.

Twist the pieces in pairs.

Twist the resulting blanks again into one common center of the flower.

Glue the bottom in a circle, first 4 darker ones, and then light petals. Next, fix the largest ones, each new petal should half cover the previous one. Lastly, attach the sepals.

To make the flower more realistic, add small bright petals to the middle of the rose using a toothpick.

If you want to achieve perfection, you can slightly tint the edges of the petals with yellow (use dry pastel or acrylic paint).

The masterpiece is ready. You can add leaves to the rose, attach a pin to it and use it as a brooch, or glue it to a hairband. The choice is yours.

Wreath of small roses

If one rose doesn’t seem enough for you, you can collect a whole bouquet of them. Be patient - as a result of simple but painstaking work, you will get a gorgeous headband of unopened rose buds.

Prepare materials:

  • foamiran for flowers and leaves;
  • thin wire for roses and thicker wire for the base of the wreath;
  • wire cutters and pliers;
  • glue gun;
  • green tape;
  • nail scissors;
  • quick-drying glue;
  • optional - print for leaves and paint for petals.
You can choose the color of the roses at your discretion. Cut out petal blanks approximately 1.5 cm long at the rate of 6-8 pieces per flower. You can tint them for more realistic coloring.

Place the petals one by one on an iron heated to 100 degrees, then twist them around their axis. Then straighten the blanks and form bulges with your fingers.

Cut the thin wire into pieces of 4-5 centimeters. Bend a loop at the end of each. Using a gun, coat the petal with glue and wrap it tightly around the wire.

Wrap the second petal around the first, glue the third in the same way.

Add further petals, placing them at the same level. As the bud grows, glue the blanks less tightly. The photo shows a finished rose of 8 petals.

Cut out leaves and sepals from green foamiran. Make small notches along the edges of each pattern.

Heat the sepals on an iron and twist. After heating, immediately press the leaves onto the print to create a relief. You can simply press out the veins with a toothpick.

This result is worth the effort.

String a sepal onto the wire with the bud and secure it with glue from a gun. Secure the leaves to the wire using quick-drying glue.

Similarly, continue making small closed roses from foamiran. Their exact number depends on the volume and collection pattern of the desired rim.

To form a wreath, attach blanks with roses to thick wire, securing them with tape. The type of finished product depends only on your desire.

You can complement the composition with white or contrasting large roses.

Make loops at the ends of the wreath and thread a ribbon through them to adjust the size, or simply connect the ends of the wire. Your shiny accessory is ready.

Small unopened bud

If you want to try your hand, but starting with large projects is scary, take note of a simplified method for creating roses. In this MK, the tools and materials are similar to the previous versions, and you will make the base of the flower from ordinary foil.

The result of the work is a closed, goblet-shaped bud that will decorate a hairpin, barrette or hair tie.

Beautiful rose in step-by-step pictures

For novice florists, another method for creating realistic, beautiful roses will be useful. They turn out lush, and you can vary their size at your discretion.

Incredible, exquisite and vibrant foamiran jewelry attracts at first sight

Ranunculus is a very delicate creature with lush buds and a variety of colors. This flower can now often be found in the most luxurious bouquets. The size of the ranunculus is from 7 to 10 centimeters in diameter, and in appearance it looks a little like a peony or rose. A blooming ranunculus can look like a poppy.

How to make a ranunculus from plastic rubber:

IllustrationDescription of action
To give texture to the petals, the foma leaf needs to be ironed through crepe paper. This way it will become a little thinner and get a characteristic relief.
You can pull out the petals on bottles or a small light bulb.
Trace the petal templates. It is better to do this with a white pencil, this way there will be no marks left on the material. Do not use sharp objects for tracing; they may tear the sheet.
Before cutting out the petal, shape it on a convex object, slightly stretching it in the desired direction.
After stretching, cut out the petal so that the template mark line is not visible.
After making petals of different sizes, make several of the smallest blanks, shading them with a sponge and pastel.
Make the core of the flower from a bead or a foil ball. Wrap the workpiece with foamiran and stretch the material so that there are no folds.
Secure the center of the flower with hot glue.
Trim the head with scissors at the base.
Secure the base to the wire for the stem and glue it with second glue.
Wrap the stamens around the head and glue them with hot glue.
Fasten the tinted petals together so that you get a small circle with a diameter the size of the center of the flower. When gluing, make sure that the petals are about halfway over each other.
After creating the core of the ranunculus, glue the petals sequentially from smallest to largest in a circle.
The gluing technology is simple - each petal should be approximately halfway over the previous one.
In this way, glue 4-6 layers of petals. The more petals, the larger the flower.
Cut out the sepals from the green fom and lightly pull them to shape.
Glue 5 sepals onto the base of the flower; they can be lightly tinted with powder.
Place a floral tube onto the wire and secure it with instant glue.

How to make a rose from foamiran

Rose is the queen of flowers, a recognized standard of beauty and sophistication. The delicate petals of the rose are protected by sharp thorns.

This flower has many varieties with different colors, uniform or at the tips of the petals. The most popular workshops on crafts made from foamiana are related specifically to rose buds.

Templates and patterns for roses from foamiran

You can make your own template by simply disassembling a living flower into petals. Please note: no two shapes will be the same. For the template, choose thin cardboard or thick paper. Simply trace the petals spread out on cardboard and cut them out along the outline. You can use ready-made templates and patterns. Just print them on your printer.

In handicraft stores you can find solid templates that can be used to cut directly onto a sheet of paper.

How to make a large rose from foamiran

IllustrationDescription of action
Cut out petals of three sizes and sepals according to the template.
Protonate the blanks: petals along the edge, sepals over the entire surface.
Heat the petals on a warm iron to give them the desired shape.
The petals are shaped by twisting and stretching the material.
Make a stem out of wire and wrap it with green duct tape.
Make a drop-shaped core from foil and secure it to the stem with hot glue.
Stick the petals of the bud sequentially onto the core so that they completely hide the foil. Gradually leave the ends of the pieces free to imitate blossoming.
Heat the sepal blank on the iron too and give it a shape.
Make a hole in the center of the sepal for the stem and thread the stem through.
Glue the sepal with a glue gun so that it fits tightly to the bud.
To create a full rose, continue to glue the petals, gradually increasing their size.
The more layers of petals, the larger the rose.
The final touch to a full rose is the sepals.

Master class on making lilies

Lily is the princess of the flower world. Its large bright inflorescences are a recognized symbol of purity and innocence.

Step-by-step production of an artificial lily in a master class:

IllustrationDescription of action
For a lily you will need to stock up on ready-made stamens and pistil.
The base of the flower is held together with adhesive tape. The pistil is in the center, the stamens are around it.
After fastening the parts, unfold them as shown in the photo.
To create the texture of the petals, you will need special molds - they can be found in handicraft stores.
Place the mold on the mold and heat it with an iron, then press the parts tightly until they cool.
Cut the petals with veins along the contour with scissors.
Each petal will need a rigid frame so that it bends in the desired direction. For the frame, thin wire is used, wrapped in material to match the petal.
Gif 2 The wire is carefully glued in the center of each petal.
SKR 8 The workpiece needs to be slightly bent, as shown in the photo.
SKR 9 Using a lighter, heat and slightly stretch the edges of the workpiece.

How to make a chamomile flower - instructions for beginners

Chamomile is just a seemingly simple flower. It is not so easy to make it from Thomas - it will require patience and many miniature parts.

IllustrationDescription of action
Using the miniature template, draw and cut out 30 small petals from white foam foam.
Make a fringe from a strip of yellow fom. Carefully cut the material with scissors at a minimum distance.
Give relief to the chamomile petals using tweezers. Just heat up the workpieces and run tweezers over the hot material.
Bend the stem wire at the tip to form a hook. Insert the tip of the fringe into it.
Rotate the stem while gluing the fringe to create the center of the flower.
Heat the finished core over a candle. The fom will become thinner and the core will look very natural.
Hot glue the first row of petals.
Attach the second row so that the lower petals fit between the upper ones.
Cover the reverse side of the flower with a curly detail. You can then attach a hairpin or brooch pin to it.

Rose pattern from foamiran and master class

In one of the master classes I made an interesting flower in the Japanese style. I am posting the pattern along with a photo of the finished product. If you liked this rose, then you can find detailed lessons on making flowers in the article Roses from foamiran.

You need to print the photo, carefully cut out the stencils of the petals and trace them on a sheet of foamiran in the required quantity. You will get blanks for the flower. Next, watch a master class on making a flower.

Template – pattern for a large rose

Patterns of different beautiful rose flowers

  • Blooming Rose

Another beautiful rose that I made in my master classes.

Very interesting master classes on making flowers can be found from Nadezhda Konovalova. Using her tutorial, I learned how to make a peony rose.

  • Small rose pattern for beginners

Small roses are very often used to make hairpins. With small flowers woven into the hair, the hairstyle looks more elegant. In one of the master classes I did, incl. with small rosebuds.

You can create blanks of almost any shape from amazingly plastic foamiran. And the best part is that this material is almost impossible to spoil; you just need to heat it again and give it the desired shape.

To work you will need:

  • foamiran 2 colors: white and green,
  • half a file or tracing paper,
  • acrylic paint,
  • wire cutters,
  • mold,
  • a piece of sponge,
  • foam ball with a diameter of 1.5 mm,
  • toothpick,
  • floral wire,
  • pen,
  • scissors,
  • cardboard,
  • iron,
  • hot glue gun,
  • a couple of pieces of paper.

Step 1: Preparatory stage.

I took the patterns from this book for flower making, author Nadezhda Chereda!

I liked the Camellia pattern.

But the gluing is already from the rose.

I transfer it onto film (you can use tracing paper).

And now I transfer it to cardboard, it’s more convenient to work with.

Trace the templates with a toothpick.

We also outline the backing on a green background.

We got: 2 whisks -a; 2 whisks - b; 3 corollas - in; gluing; 2 stripes of Thomas and 2 leaves of any shape.

We divide the wire into 3 parts.

We make a loop at the end of the wire, but do not bend it completely.

Take a foam ball (diameter approximately 1.5 cm) and pierce it at the top and pull the wire, the loop should sink into the ball.

Step 2: Tint the petals and leaves.

I took acrylic paint, although I always tint with dry pastel, well, I really liked its color. 🙂

Add paint to the sheet a little at a time, since acrylic dries very quickly.

We tint the corollas.

Everything is ready, the gluing and leaves can be slightly “brown”.

Now all the corollas need to be cut before reaching the center, for small ones 5-7 mm, for medium ones 7-8 mm, for large ones 1 cm.

Step 3: Heat treatment, forming petals.

Heat treatment, we start with small ones, one petal to the iron, quickly on the right palm and press the thumb into the middle of the petal.

This is how you need to press it, but on the palm, I couldn’t physically show it, the second hand is occupied with the camera. 🙂

And we also heat the middle petals one at a time and holding the petal with both hands from the edges, stretch it a little and press it with our thumbs into the middle, you should get a boat and quickly turn it over to the other side with the bulge up, to be continued...

As we turned it over, we also hold the petal with both hands and quickly, at the same time, twist it on both sides, and then turn it on top.

The whisks are ready!

Now we heat the adhesive on the iron and gather all the “rays” into a pile and knead it.

To print a leaf, we need a mold; this thing perfectly imitates the structure of a leaf. You can buy it in departments with ceramic floristry products.

We heat the sheet, apply it to the mold and press it.

Everything worked out great for us! Now everything is ready, all that remains is to assemble the rose!

Step 4: Assembling the flower.

We pierce the middle of the small whisk.

We arm ourselves with a glue gun. And the first petal should be glued exactly like this, like a cone, the hole at the top should be tiny.

The second one is opposite. The third and fourth are opposite each other, respectively.

Pierce the second whisk.

We glue it in a spiral, wrapping the petal behind the previous one.

Be sure to curl the edges with your fingers, giving it some liveliness until the flower is collected, this can be done easily.

The next whisk is exactly the same as the previous one.

This is how it works.

Don't forget to curl the petals.

The petals are located in the spaces of the previous row.

We also glue the last three corollas with 5 petals one after another in a spiral.

And finally, the last corolla is put on the wire; you can pinch the petals by pinching them with your fingers.

This is what the “butt” of a flower should look like.

We bite off the wire so that there is not even a hint of it, not even a tiny stump sticks out.

We glue the glue, four rays can be glued, the fifth is still floating in the air.

We wrap the wire with a foil, we get a leton.

We need to make 2 of them, according to the number of leaves.

We place the sheet with the print down, carefully coat the letter with hot glue and glue it to the middle of the sheet, retreating 0.5 cm from the nose of the sheet.

This is what our leaves look like!

We don’t need long stems; wrap them in a strip of fom, fix (glue) both stems and bite off the excess with pliers.

We slip our leaves under the un-glued “ray” and, piercing the center of the flower with wire, insert the leaves, previously coated with glue.

Now, who likes what, a brooch or a hairpin!

I have a brooch, I glue the blank under the ray and cover it with the ray. All is ready!

This is what we got!

Thank you everyone for your attention!

Creative success in creating flowers! I will be very glad to see photos of works made in this master class!
